Speech Therapy


Speech pathology assesses and treats people with a wide variety of communication and swallowing diagnoses. At NARMC, we have experience with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Patients can be seen on an inpatient, outpatient, or home health basis depending on the individual and insurance qualifications. Additionally, NARMC offers Vital Stim, an FDA approved neuromuscular electrical stimulation treatment for swallowing disorders and associated facial paralysis.

NARMC's Speech-Language Pathology department treats:

  • Dysphagia (feeding and swallowing difficulty)
  • Dysarthria (slurred or abnormal sounding speech)
  • Aphasia (difficulty understanding or expressing language)
  • Cognitive-Linguistic
  • Voice Disorders
  • Accent Modification/Reduction
  • Aural Rehabilitation for hearing impaired individuals
  • Augmentative/Alternative Communication
